Privacy policy

Questions and saved content
When you submit a question, it may be sent to the AI provider used by ELI16 so an explanation can be generated. The question and generated explanation may then be stored in ELI16’s database and displayed publicly as a reusable question page. Do not submit private, confidential or personally identifying information in a question.
Analytics
ELI16 uses Vercel Analytics to understand broad site usage and performance. The site also records a limited view count for saved question pages, with a browser-side cooldown to reduce repeated refreshes being counted as new views.
Advertising and cookies
ELI16 uses Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure and personalise ads where consent and applicable law allow. In regions where consent is required, Google’s consent-management tools may be shown so you can accept, reject or manage available choices.
Third-party services
The site relies on third-party infrastructure and services including hosting, database, AI and advertising providers. Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies where applicable.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as ELI16 adds features, changes providers or introduces new privacy controls. The date above will be updated when material changes are made.
